How do generators for flashlights work just by shaking them?
Answered By Editor
There is a dynamo inside. It is the same
technology you find on some bikes, where a
small dynamo is attached to your wheel and
takes energy from your cycling to power the
light of the bike.
A dynamo is the inverse of a motor, it has
magnets inside that can turn in circles. If a
magnet moves, it induces electric energy into
its sourroundings. So, it transforms your
kinetic energy (shaking) into light.
