How do I add a power supply to my computer?

Can you answer Funky Munky’s question about Generators?:

I had an old Compaq lying around and I took the power supply out to add to my desktop. It’s a Gateway GT5028 and i have only replaced the motherboard [nothing big, just the same as factory]. I want to add the power supply to my computer to have two power supplies. The extra power supply is a 14-pin connection. What can I do? Thanks!

Generators Feedback: Unless you absolutely need another power supply, which i don’t believe you do, then, there is no need to do it.

If you don’t have like 10 hard drives in you computer or bunches of parts etc etc and only what came with the computer, why do you want two power supplies. It isn’t going to do anything. It’s pretty much just going to sit there looking pretty.
