My generator will start & run almost perfectly, but when you start turning the appliances on in the RV it bogs down & will not generate enough power. Hope someone can help. Thank you

Can you answer Julie C’s question about Generators?:
I live 30 miles east of Seattle in an area that is frequently without power. Up until this year the outages were less than 48 hours but this year we have had repeated outages, one of which lasted 6 days after a stronger than usual windstorm. I had to scramble to find somewhere else to be. I lost several days of work, all the food in my refridgerator and freezer. At what point does it make sense to just install a standby generator?

Can you answer curiousmind24’s question about Generators?:
I am looking for a self-recharging, always PLUGGED-IN BACKUP POWER (quiet running) GENERATOR. Automatically kicks on when power goes out and shuts off on return. A combination of solar/battery cells is preferrable but would consider alternatives if available. It is to be used in africa, the electricity is 220V. Also, the cost should not be prohibitive. Thanks in advance.

Can you answer james t’s question about Generators?:
I really don’t understand. They say a big $1000 generator can only run for like 12 hours. Then you got to refill it, and each fill costs like $15??? But obviously you can run the electicity in your car for like months, am I right. And what is it in your car that lets you do that and how much does it cost? So can you buy one of those things seperately and use it for stuff like a small fridge, a tv, heater, so on… instead of a generator because its cheaper and runs longer???
