Why aren’t I getting any power to my RV when using the generator?

Can you answer savis07’s question about Generators?:

Before I was not getting any power to the microwave and and AC in the RV the generator was smoking. I noticed there was something caught in the fan. I don’t know why I am not getting any power to the RV.

Generators Feedback: If the generator was smoking, most likely your fan was binded up. This could have caused an overcurrent and may taken out a fuse. Check out your fuse, then check out the breaker panel. If there is no indication that either the breaker tripped or the fuse blew, then check to see if you are getting any voltage from the generator. If you are not getting any voltage from the generator, then you proably have bad brushes in the generator. The commutator may have to be resurfaced and rechecked for zero plane. But, check the breaker panel first and the fuses too. Then trace the wires back to the generator and check for voltage.

Generators Feedback: Not good, have someone who knows what they are doing to check the generator for output. It sounds like the generator has overheated and burned out.
